Well, it\u2019s finally here: the last week of the 2014 Summer CSA.\u00a0 What a summer it has been \u2013 we\u2019ve had a great season!\u00a0 Of course the better part of our success is the result of a great team, although Mother Nature had a hand in it too.\u00a0 One more of the team will be leaving us this week \u2013 and we say good bye to our CSA members too, but hopefully not for long!<\/p>\n

This week I took a few photos in the garden to show how things are changing.\u00a0 We have a veritable infestation of birds in our sunflowers!\u00a0 The chickadees are the most common, closely followed by the blue jays.<\/p>\n

In this picture, you can see our girls (and one boy) enjoying the last bit of grass this season.\u00a0 The tree colours are beautiful this year!\u00a0 The next time we are out in that bush will likely be to make maple syrup next spring…<\/p>\n

And I had to share this picture \u2013 although it is unrelated.\u00a0 This hen made her way into the greenhouse during the Farm Fest tours last Saturday.\u00a0 My inability to chase her out made for some light entertainment for a couple of visitors.\u00a0 She was determined!<\/p>\n
