When I wrote you last, it was 2013 and winter had not even begun.\u00a0 How things have changed in the last month!\u00a0 The weather has dipped into new territory \u2013 making us question just how warm our storage bin would be when it is -30\u00b0C outside…\u00a0 and whether or not the greens would survive such low temperatures.\u00a0 Well we have good news!\u00a0 The storage bin was a balmy 2\u00b0C and the greens are looking pretty good.<\/p>\n

And there is more good news \u2013 a few new faces on the farm.<\/p>\n

Fanny had her calf on December 28 \u2013 he is currently going by Donut 2.0 or 2.0 for short.\u00a0 He is the one in the front left corner.\u00a0 He has a couple of mates as you can see; they are A and B although they sometimes get nicknames \u2013 none have stuck yet.\u00a0 Any suggestions?<\/p>\n

As for what we are up to on the farm \u2013 we have been looking for interns for the 2014 season.\u00a0 We have also been working on a garden plan \u2013 mostly figuring out what veggies to include for the season.<\/p>\n
