Yes, it has come time to get ready for our Port Perry<\/a> and Lakefield<\/a> farmers’ markets and CSA shares<\/a> – so we must warn you that this Saturday, April 26th from 11 am till 4 pm<\/span><\/span> will be our last on-farm mini market!\u00a0 Please get your orders in by Wednesday, April 23rd<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

We also hope you will come to see us on the farm on Saturday, May 10<\/span><\/span> for our Open House.\u00a0 More on that to follow…<\/p>\n

This past couple of weeks we have managed to get some things transplanted (head lettuces, kohlrabi and pak choy) and seeded (salad greens, hakurei turnips and braising greens) into the high tunnels.\u00a0 This has made the high tunnel look awfully full!<\/p>\n

It looks like there will be lots of spinach and arugula for the weekend – before we till it in to make room for more lettuces!<\/p>\n

The barn yard is also beginning to look full with all those calves running around…\u00a0 Hopefully the warm weather will stick around so they won’t be so cold.<\/p>\n

\nOnions $1\/lb
\nArugula $3 for small bags, $5 for large bags
\nSpinach $3 for small bags, $5 for large bags<\/p>\n

Dried Herbs\u00a0 $2 per bag (basil, sage and mint)<\/p>\n

Jars of pesto (made by Backyard Bounty from our own farm products) $6.50 each
\nJars of honey $11\/1 L, $6.50\/500 mL, $3\/250 mL

Half veal $7\/lb
\nVeal piece meal
\nQuarter beef $6\/lb

\nChickens whole and half $8\/kg
\nStewing hens $8 each
