This week was all about new things…\u00a0 Seeing something new, trying something new.\u00a0 We\u2019ll start with Art Shannon of Arbor North<\/a>, who came out with his team of horses to log the bush at the farm.<\/p>\n

Jessica used to log with Art, so although it was not trying something new so to speak, she did try her hand with Idaho and Orla.\u00a0 And she did well, despite the audience!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Next we have something really new and fresh…\u00a0 Some baby robins.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

These guys promise to keep the cucumbers and tomatoes in the high tunnel bug free for the remainder of the summer \u2013 and to leave the earth worms alone!<\/p>\n

Then we have Kyle at Lakefield Farmers\u2019 Market, doing some excellent sales pitches during our \u201cBroccoli Bonanza\u201d.<\/p>\n

Despite his reservations, he made an excellent salesperson!<\/p>\n

This week a few of the interns tried their hand at discing the new acre we are preparing for planting next year.\u00a0 And none of us fell off!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We have some beef steaks and roasts in addition to the PASTURED (you heard it!) whole, half and quartered chickens.\u00a0 Please let us know if you are interested in grass fed beef – we have some animals on grass, ready for the fall.\u00a0 Available by the whole, half and quarter.<\/p>\n

We have plenty of beans, peas, raspberries, zucchini and cucumbers available for sale.\u00a0 Let us know if you want us to set some aside for you.\u00a0 Cheers!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
