Sustainable Ag Students
Jessalynn decided to take her turn pulling the teacher around in her wagon! On March 21st the students from the Fleming Sustainable Ag program came for a farm tour! We had some fun wagon rides!
The Greenhouse!
We put up a New double layer plastic hoop house for our winter greens production this year it was what seemed like a massive undertaking . We spent a lot of time on ladders and straddling the hay wagons ! We were very happy with the outcome!
January 21st the finale of the Winter CSA!
The winter greens! This years winter CSA went very well our greens grew very well! The root cellar worked out well & we got to experiment with some new veggies like salsify, winter radishes, & root parsely! Looking forward to the next season & all the trials & errors it can bring!
The Winter CSA before X-mas!
Taking home the bounty for Christmas Holidays. We had a great share including some honey, garlic scape pesto, dried herbs, and plentiful greens! We loved our root veggies, and potatoes in abundance.
The First Winter CSA Pick up of 2012!
A Fantastic Harvest! Our first winter pick up was bountiful! We had a lot in the field since the fall had been so warm. CSA members also had a beautiful fall day to enjoy a drive out to the farm. We gave some people a little farm tour and some pony rides!
Moving the hoophouse Step #3 ! Yeah!
In it’s final reating place! When we finally parked the hoophouse we were pleased that all went well! It took us all of one hour to undo and drag the hoophouse and set it up again! What a fantastic undertaking! Ready for some spring greens!
