Lots of sunshine in the garden
MiscellaneousBeen a while since we posted our progress in the garden, and I’m sure you’re all curious what’s new! Well, we had to clear some space in the greenhouse so we could start some winter squash, summer squash, melons, cukes, zucchinis and pumpkins (over 500 pots of them!) So, we moved all the brassica crops out (broccolis, caulifowers, etc.) to the hoop house. And to make room in hoop house, we transplanted some pak choy and lettuce.
Everything just seems to be bursting with green!
The horses were very busy over the last week as well. They’ve been cultivating and discing the fields – with some good days and some not so good days. Lenny and Mr. Grey are still getting used to working everyday – and to their team mates, Peg and Calvin. And in turn, we have been trying to figure out the best way to set up the team. Here they are with Ian on a good day.
Can anyone else see the fierce determination in Peg’s eyes (far left)? Determined to prove that she can pull harder than the boys any day!
Don’t forget the open house: May 11th from 12 pm till 4 pm. Come on out and meet our team!
